1. Burning Oil

2. Burnt Transmission Fluid

If your car’s Transmission Fluid is old or leaking, it can overheat and burn. This can also cause rough shifting, so it’s important to get the Fluid checked.

3. Burning Rubber

A loose belt or hose could be rubbing against hot engine parts, creating a burning rubber smell. This should be addressed right away to avoid more damage!

4. Electrical Issues

A burning plastic or chemical smell may indicate an electrical problem, which can be dangerous. If you notice this smell, have it inspected immediately.
