There are a lot of vehicles on the road. Whether you’re just looking to get from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’, or are a total automotive enthusiast, Frank’s Servicenter wants to keep you informed about your car. Here’s a quick breakdown of major car maintenance items every vehicle owner should have in mind when they hit mileage like 30k, 60k and 90k. These are rough estimates though, as every manufacturer and model has varied needs and are different from routine - though just as important as maintenance - like tire rotations, brake repair and the like. Also, Frank's does a complete vehicle inspection with EVERY SERVICE for FREE! This way you'll know if something out of these ordinary repairs is coming up.

What Maintenance Does My Car Need At 30k Miles?

Every 30,000 miles most cars need to have both the engine and cabin air filters replaced. The motor air filter keeps the air that turns into combustion in your motor at the highest quality (doesn’t apply to electric vehicles, of course). The cabin air filter is equally important, it keeps the air you're breathing inside your car clean. This is especially helpful when behind garbage trucks… On top of this it’s a good idea to have a mechanic replace the transmission fluid (and transfer case fluid on four-wheel drive vehicles) as well. In addition to these items, here's a complete list of things you should have serviced at 30K miles:

- Oil Change
- Tire Rotation
- Air Filter / Cabin Air Filter
- Wheel Alignment
- Fuel Filter
- Brake Fluid
- Fuel Induction Service
- Spark Plugs (Non-plat)
- Transmission Fluid / Transfer Case Fluid Change
- Power Steering Fluid Change

Do I Need 60,000 Mile Car Maintenance?

Everyone needs this milestone auto service as well. At 60k it’s best to repeat the maintenance of 30k and add in an inspection of the vehicle's battery (which allows you to start your car) and check suspension components too. Harsh weather - especially wintery brine - can wear your shocks and struts, so it’s necessary to have these parts looked at when you hit 60,000 miles. A coolant flush, tie rods and drive axle boots, may also be part of 60k mile car maintenance.

Here's the list of 60k mile service items - in addition to everything listed at 30k Miles as well:
- Coolant System Service
- Battery Replacement
- Engine Service

What’s Needed For 90k Auto Service?

This is the big one. At 90,000 miles most cars will require new spark plugs, and even timing or drive belt replacement. Spark plugs are what ignites the fuel inside your motor and the timing belt controls the rhythm of your motor - both are important auto services. Fortunately though, some cars have a timing chain, requiring no replacement. A timing chain may even outlast the engine! A new water pump is also a common 90k-mile repair. The water pump pushes coolant through your motor, keeping it at the best operating temperature and getting you the best fuel efficiency.
