With warmer weather headed our way, many of you all are sure to have some travel plans in mind. To stay safe and comfortable on the road, you should plan to do the following tips!
2022 Road Trip Tips
Hitting the road? Come to Frank's for a vehicle inspection.
Get Plenty of Sleep the Night Before
Driving while sleepy can be just as dangerous as drunk driving. It is extremely imperative that you get a good night's rest the previous night to remain alert at all times.
Eat and Hydrate
If you have a longer trip, make sure to pack some snacks to cure your hunger. Furthermore, please bring plenty of water for everyone so that you're nice and hydrated.
Plan for Breaks
Speaking of water, you're inevitably going to need a pit stop here and there. Try looking at the map and planning where would be best to stop along the way. Even if you don't have to, it doesn't hurt to get out of the car to stretch and get some fresh air.
Keep Everyone Entertained
Long road trips can get old after a while. If you have kids, they may also start growing antsy or fussy. We recommend playing road trip games or doing a sing-along to keep everyone's energy up throughout the ride. It's a great and fun way to pass the time.
Bring A Car Emergency Kit
Last but not least, you'll need to pack a few emergency car items. The thought of a vehicle breakdown probably doesn't cross your mind when you leave for a road trip, but accidents do happen. If you do experience hardships, you should be as prepared as possible for them. Please include the essentials, like flashlights, jumper cables, chargers, spare tire, tire-changing tools, extra vehicle fluids, a first aid kit, and more.
In addition to following these directions, we urge drivers to bring their vehicle to Frank's Servicenter for a pre-trip inspection. We'll check all your important components so that you can confidently drive to your destination.
