A control arm bushing is an important part of the suspension on your vehicle. Located between the control arm and the frame of the vehicle, control arm bushings dampen vibration between the wheels and frame, cushioning the ride, reducing driving noise, and preventing metal-on-metal contact. Over years and miles the bushings will deteriorate. On most vehicles the bushings are serviced separately, installed with a hydraulic press. After control arm bushing replacement the vehicle wheel alignment should be checked and adjusted.
