How To Prepare Your Vehicle For The End Of Summer!

Soon, summer will be coming to an end. This means, now is a great time to get your car ready for the transition to fall. Here’s a simple guide to help you prepare your vehicle for the end of summer!

1. Check Your Tires

Summer can be tough on your Tires. The heat can cause them to wear down faster. Check the Tire Tread to make sure they are not too worn out. If you see that the tread is getting low, it might be time for a Replacement. Also, make sure your Tires are properly inflated! You can find the correct pressure in your car’s manual or on a sticker inside the driver’s side door.

2. Inspect Your Coolant System

Your car’s Coolant System keeps the Engine from overheating. Summer heat puts a lot of strain on this system. Check the Coolant Levels and top them off if needed. If you notice any leaks or if your Engine has been running hotter than usual, you’ll want to make an appointment with us to get it checked out by one of our Mechanics.

3. Test Your Air Conditioning

Even though the weather might start to cool down, it’s still a good idea to make sure your Air Conditioning System is working properly. If it’s not blowing cold air or seems to be weak, you might need to get it checked before fall arrives.

4. Change Your Oil

Regular Oil Changes keep your engine running smoothly. If it’s been a while since your last Oil Change, now is a good time to get it done. Fresh oil helps protect your Engine and ensures it runs efficiently.

5. Check Your Battery

Summer heat can be tough on your Car Battery. Inspect it to make sure it’s clean and the connections are secure. If your Battery is older or showing signs of weakness, consider getting it tested or replaced.

6. Clean and Protect Your Car

Summer can leave your car dirty and covered in bugs and tree sap. Give your car a good wash and wax to remove any grime and protect the paint!

7. Prepare for Fall Weather

As we move into fall, weather conditions can change. Check your windshield wipers to make sure they are in good condition. If they are streaking or not clearing the windshield properly, replace them before it starts to rain more often.

By taking these simple steps, you’ll help ensure that your vehicle stays in great shape as the seasons change. If you need any help with these tasks, don’t hesitate to visit us at Frank’s Servicenter. We’re here to make sure your car is ready for whatever comes next!
